Marvel-ous Marvel Exhibit in Chicago
The “Marvel: Universe of Superheroes” exhibit has been traveling across America, showcasing at Seattle, Philadelphia, and now, Chicago! Until October 24, fans can visit the Museum of Science and Industry and experience the past, present, and future of Marvel superheroes. Ranging from nearly every hero, this exhibit features film memorabilia, original comic artifacts, and informative posts guiding you through the history of Marvel.
An impressive feature of this exhibit is the many original sketches and concepts for comic books and storylines. Long before the blockbuster films, talented writers and artists were working together to create now-iconic characters. Explore the creative process behind initial heroes like Human Torch, and modern heroes such as Ms. Marvel alike. While writers will find intrigue in the ever-developing plots and storylines, filmmakers will search for the beauty of post-production movie magic, and artists will find perspective in the unique designs and innovative artist impressions.
The most popular and intriguing display of The “Marvel: Universe of Superheroes” is the many superhero costumes used and worn in many popular Marvel films. Swing by Tom Holland’s Spider-Man: Homecoming spidey-suit, geek out over three of the Iron Man movie franchise ensembles, and see the vibranium power of Chadwick Boseman’s Black Panther outfit. Team up with Captain America’s Avengers: Age of Ultron costume accompanying the Winter Soldier’s Avengers: Civil War outfit, only meters away from the intergalactic Guardians of the Galaxy get-ups. Become entranced with MSI’s engaging models, such as the magical Dr. Strange mirror hall, and many more impressive and unrevealed amazements…
Throughout the museum, a myriad of Marvel statues and displays are littered throughout the building and multiple merchandise stores, beckoning you to see this limited showcase. Enjoy this spectacle during the museum’s daytime hours and special exhibit-only evening hours. Treat yourself to the marvel-ous scene before it’s too late!
